Welcome to Grand County!


History

Welcome to the Grand County in Utah. One of todays events is Utah County History. Cisco was a town in Utah County for ranchers and mining. It became a ghost town when the interstate i-70 came through the county with out diverting 5 miles to connect the town to the new road. This sounds like an abandoned town.

Area and Population

The area of Grand county is 3,689 square miles. wow that’s amazing! The population is 8485. The population has been expanding for a while. I wonder how much farm land the have?

Landforms

In Grand County you can see a whole bunch of things. You can see arches. The arches are really cool. We also can see the Green and Colorado rivers. There is Lion’s Back camp ground and last but not least we have forests that cover some of the county.


Products, Resources and Jobs

We have some sheep in this county. We also have some wheat, oats and barley. Also some chickens and eggs. Yes we have a lot of cattle. last but not lest we have hay and alfalfa for the cattle.

Places to see

A place to see is called Arches National Park. It’s a fun and amazing place. You can follow ATV and jeep trails or go horse back riding or hike through the amazing landscape. Another place is called Manti La Sal National Forest which is a lot like Yellowstone National Park; it has geysers.

Famous People
Lenny Waltershceid is one of the few famous people from grand county. Lenny Watershceid was born in September 13, 1954. He is 5 feet tall and 11 inches. He weighs about 190 pounds. He played for the Chicago Bears.
What I will do on my trip in the Grand County?

On your trip to Grand County go to Arches National Park. In Arches you can hike to awesome arches. You might want to go see the geysers at Manti La Sal National Forest. You can camp at both places.
